ventrilol

While playing World of Warcraft, my guildies and I often spend time fooling around on our Ventrilo-server (A voice-communication application). Once in a while the fun Text To Speak (TTS) feature is brought forward as a force of hilarity to be reckoned with. For some strange reason, some characters can sound extremely funny if written in the correct way, by taking great advantage of some obscure form of bug in the TTS-bit. The result of all this? Let’s just say I wiped tears off my chins quite alot of times during the almost 2 hours long session with TTS in company.

If you got Ventrilo, take a few minutes to try out the following:

tchdvdxtche (repeated)
soi and/or soif (repeated)
helicopterqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqq
– a long series of m‘s or n‘s (the more, the merrier)
ng! ng? ng! (personal favorite, the symbols are important for the effect)
tche (repeated)
tttttttttte (best combined with alot of tche‘s).
sse (repeated)

UPDATE: To my great enjoyment, I found out that the TTS-codex is the same as Microsoft Sam. Enjoy this opportunity for hilarity – now without Ventrilo! Ofcourse, it’s way more fun when you can laugh with others, but you could as well gather a few people in front of the same screen, naturally. Try and experiment a bit, I’m sure there’s other fun combinations out there.
